Baby Gear Checklist
Bed for baby Newborns are used to being warm in their mother's womb. A cradle or basket can therefore be a good place to sleep for the newborn in the beginning. Many also choose to buy a so-called bedside crib, which makes co-sleeping safer and facilitates breastfeeding for the mother at night. Note that most cradles, cribs and baskets have a weight and age restriction which means that they must be replaced during the first six months/year.alt-til-baby Beds can certainly be bought second-hand, but to reduce the risk of SIDS, it is recommended that the baby always gets a new mattress. Used mattresses may contain residues from vomit and urine from previous children and should therefore not be used. Most people choose a cot for the child - this provides good ventilation and creates a safer sleeping environment. The baby's duvet should be down, fiber or silk. You can also use your own sleeping bag if you have a child who quickly throws off the duvet. Remember that babies should not have pillows or too many things, such as stuffed animal, in bed. Avoid too much light and noise when feeding and changing at night - then baby will fall asleep faster and get into a normal circadian rhythm more quickly.Did you know that we have a price match at Barnas Hus?
